How Does Your Garden Grow?

Well, we finally took a few pictures of Quentin playing soccer.  Soccer seems to be our life for the past 2 months and we only have about 1 week left.  That will be a nice break coming.
Also, our garden is going nuts with the few things that it will grow.  We have discovered that our soil must be very acidic and does not have trouble growing some products.
This was our first year at trying potatoes and they turned out amazing.  We also have not had any problems with pumpkins or carrots as well.  Our potatoes turned out plentiful and huge.  It was quite fun to see.
Here are a few pictures of our produce.
Quentin at one of his many games.

I planted about 6 plants and this is how many potatoes we ended up with. It was quite fun digging them up and finding them in the dirt.  Zayne enjoyed digging in the dirt with me.

Just ignore the dirty shoe and leg.  I just got done running with Cyrus at school for their fun run and it was quite muddy,  but I wanted to show you how big these turned out.

We have about 20 or so pumpkins that came in this year all pretty decent sized.

August

Justin's sister was finally able to get married in August and it was a very happy day for all.  Their marriage was a long time coming.  I didn't have my camera so all of these pics were taken from Justin's phone.
Also included are some pictures of the boys playing outside and having some summer fun.

Quentin on the slip'n slide

Cyrus preferred to just jump on it instead of slide

Zayne would rather jump then get in the water.  He is getting really good at that

Quentin and Cyrus waiting with cousins outside the Temple.  It was a hot day.

Zayne and his thumb.  Justin got a new app on his phone that does fun things to photos.  So it tested it out on these next few pictures.

Enjoying mid wedding snacks
All of the cousins on the Hemingway side.
Zayne riding his tricycle.
Cyrus just after he scored his goal.  He is the number 2.  He is doing amazing at soccer and is the star player on his team.  He is definitely shocking me with how well he is playing instead of complaining about being tired.
Cyrus again about to score.
We have been going to games for Quentin as well, but haven't remembered to take pictures.  I'll get some soon and get those up.
School has started as well and the boys are both doing really well and making lots of friends.  They come home happy which tells me they are having fun.  Zayne and I enjoy being home and running errands together.

Dinosaurs

We have been really busy these past couple of weeks with Justin's family in town for his sister's wedding.  Unfortunately I don't have those pictures since they are all on Justin's phone.  So until I get those I'll share the pictures of the boys and I at Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum.  The boys earned free passes to the museum from the library for their summer reading, so we went the end of July.

There was a motion exhibit right before the museum that the boys really enjoyed being a part of.

Quentin's magnetic creation.

the boys always enjoy this set-up more then the actual dinosaurs

Zayne wanted his own picture

the boys always enjoy this part.  Especially when no other kids are in there with them.

All of their crazy magnetic creations
School has started for Quentin at Foothill Elementary this year and Cyrus starts next week.  We have also been busy with soccer season just starting up as well.  I will definitely get more pictures and info up soon from the wedding.

July

We have done a few fun things these past couple of weeks.  Here are some pictures to enjoy!

The boys enjoying our 4th of July Fireworks

Zayne showing off his shiner.  He got this while I was away at girls camp.  I thought it was fitting with the bandana and boxing gloves.

Quentin decided that he really wanted to hike to the "Y". Him and I headed out at 6 am and this is him excited to see the "Y"

This is about half way up the trail

sitting at the top of the "Y" having a great time

Quentin wanted to hike to the top, then the middle, then the bottom.  He wanted a picture of the whole "Y"

We went to the Hogel Zoo this week.  It was kind of a let down with not to many animals out.  But the remodel is looking great and will hopefully make the Zoo more worth seeing.

Luckily the Zoo has a dinosaur attraction right now or it definitely would not have been worth going.

Cyrus is always willing to pose for a picture.  Such a cute kid.

Measuring up.  This is a tradition with our boys to take a picture here.

Of course, T-Rex.  Zayne was not happy about being by this dinosaur for so long.

We have also been swimming a lot this summer and hopefully I will remember to take the camera with us some time.
