My baby, Zayne, is now one.

I can't believe Zayne is one year old already.  This past year has gone by so fast.  At times I feel like we just had him and yet he feels like he has been part of our family forever.  We had a great day mixed with some fun emotions.  Zayne loves to be outdoors and we spent at least 2 hours outside playing.  Apparently the weather was warm enough that we all got a little sun as well.  Then we had Zayne's grandparents over for cake and ice cream.  We also had Aunt Jena and Uncle Jared over and for some reason Zayne had a really hard time with Uncle Jared.  Every time he looked at him, he would tear up and start to cry.  In fact this happened right as we were getting ready to open presents.  See below.

Zayne was also the first of my boys who actually tried to eat his cake and seemed to enjoy it.  It was fun to watch.
Zayne got a lot of fun books and some great motor skill building toys.  He loves everything that he got and is having a blast with all of his new things.   All in all I think it was a great day for Zayne.  Happy Birthday!!!

We have a walker!! Enjoying hopefully the last snow storm of the year.

So my baby has decided to quit being a chicken and start walking.  He isn't fully there and still needs a little help and motivation.  But when he wants to, he is walking.  He turns 1 in 2 weeks, so check back for that posting.  I wish I had pictures.  I'll add one as soon as I get one.

So my 2 older boys and I decided to get out and enjoy what will hopefully be the last snow storm of the year.  We never really had any good storms on a day where we could go out and play in it.  So it was nice to have this day to do that.  The boys really wanted a fort/tunnel.  So this is our attempt.  They also made a little snow hill and had some fun sledding down that.  We amazingly made this fort, shoveled the walks, and had some time to play while Zayne took his nap.  We had a lot of fun, but we are now ready for warm weather to be outside in.

11 Years and Still Going Strong

It has been 11 years and counting and thankfully we are still going strong.  Who knew that I would marry such a wonderful husband and have 3 wonderful boys by the time I was 30.  I have been very blessed and I am truely grateful for all that I have been given.  This first picture is of Justin and I after about 2 years of marriage.  Well before any kids joined our life.

This next picture is of the boys  in their matching Super Hero Squad sweat shirts which they absolutely love.  They got these sweat shirts for Christmas and who knew they would really get into the Super Hero Squad stuff within a month later.  The boys love everything and anything to do with these Super Heros and I would have to admit the shows and characters are quite fun.  The boys like to play with the action figures, the Wii game, and watch the cartoons.

Then of course a fun one of Zayne.  He is constantly going and going and making all kinds of weird faces.  One of his favorite things to do right now is play at the grill/kitchen set that we have.  He loves to chew on all of the plastic food and utensils.  Zayne loves to move around and is constantly trying to keep up with his brothers.  If only he had the confidence to walk.  He could totally do it if he would try.  Oh well, his crawling right now is really fast and keeping up with him can be challenging at times.

These last three pics are of the boys playing in the laundry basket filled with balls.  They seemed to really enjoy theselves, even Zayne, that is until he felt like he was trapped.  We had a lot of fun.

Christmas 2009 come and gone.

Well another year has come and gone. I can't believe how fast time went by.  We had a great Christmas and I believe everyone is happy with what they got.  The boys got a good variety of stuff, from games, to craft stuff, to toys.  Unfortunately I didn't do a very good job at taking many pictures and what I got didn't capture the best moments and good times had by all.  But here you go anyway. We spent Christmas Eve with Justin's family this year, were we went to a church nativity program and then had dinner.  It was quite a good program.  Then we did our traditional stay at home on  Christmas day and baked a turkey.  Then we just relaxed and played with all of our games and toys.  It was a break well needed.  The boys are getting so big and it was fun to watch them get excited for Santa to come.  Unfortunately that meant up at 6:30 am, but they were in pretty good spirits the rest of the day.  Zayne enjoyed the paper and tried to get at anything and everything he could.  He is now crawling normal and walking with help.  He is now 9 months old and growing fast.
