Z turns 4

My littlest boy just turned 4.  He is growing so fast and yet he's so small.  Zayne loves just about everything, especially if he can do it with his family.  He is my little helper with Whitney and loves to learn.  He has really gotten into making words lately and loves to practice.  Zayne asked for brownies for his birthday treat and chose to go out to eat for his dinner choice.  I believe he had a great day of fun and got everything he was asking for and then some.  Zayne started his birthday with his dad doing some daddy time at trafalga doing mini golf while the other kids and I went out to get him a gift.  His brothers really wanted to give him a gift from them.  It makes a mother proud to hear her kids thinking of their sibling in that way.  It's amazing how fast our little ones grow up.  It's exciting and sad at the same time.  I miss them as babies, but I love to see them grow and see what they strive to become.
Zayne's expressions in most of these pictures don't even tell you how excited he was for all of his presents and to be the center of attention.
I also can't get over how happy Whitney is.  She was just as excited to play with the wrapping paper as Zayne was to play with his gifts.

Outside fun

We have been trying to enjoy the warmer weather and I remembered to take the camera out to get some pictures.  Whitney had her first experience on the swing and loved it.
Quentin also participated in his first Science Fair and had a lot of fun preparing it and doing the experiment.  He tested a bunch of materials to figure out which one was the best to swim in.  He didn't win anything, but had a lot of fun.  Who wouldn't have fun skipping class for half of the day?

Busy life as usual.  Fun pics from the past few months. Sorry my pics keep going in wrong even though they are saved right.

Whitney loves books.  Especially when she can clear the shelf.

December 2012

We have had a lot of fun this December.  Justin's parents took our family on the North Polar Express train this year.  This was a fun experience for all of us.  The boys got to see Santa and Mrs. Clause, drink hot chocolate, eat a cookie, and receive a Christmas bell.  The train ride was the Heber Creeper and it took us down to the end of deer lake and back, starting in Heber.  While on the train, there was Christmas music playing, singing Christmas carols, eating goodies, and dancing with elves.  Although I felt is was way to expensive, it was definitely a fun experience especially when someone else pays for it.
Christmas was fun.  We went to Justin's parents a few day before to see the family that had come into town, have dinner, and exchange gifts.  Christmas Eve was spent at great grandma Mangum's house, where we had dinner, sang carols, heard a spiritual thought, and heard grandma's announcement that this will be their last year of hosting Christmas.  That was a sad, needing to happen years ago announcement.  Although we will miss that tradition, it will be good for a new tradition to arise.  Then just yesterday we spent the evening with the Mangum cousins where we exchanged gifts, had dinner, and played Dance Dance Revolution 4.  This dancing was done by everyone, even grandma and grandpa did it.  We had a great time.
Justin also took off the week between the two holidays.  So we have had a lot of great time being together as a family.  Whether we went shopping, visited with family, or just hung out at home, it was nice to spend some extra time with daddy.
Hope you enjoy all of the pictures.
Sorry about the side ways pictures.  For some reason google wants them this way instead of the correct way that I did them.
Waiting to get on the train
